Snow in October?

Our first snow arrived a little early this year.  On Saturday, we got about 6-7 inches of snow.  Most of the trees still have leaves on them which led to many broken limbs.  Jimmy figured this was the new way to dispose of leaves.  Needless to say, Alex experienced his first snowstorm while warm inside the house. 

First Family Vacation

We have been wanting to check out the Outer Banks for awhile.  Since I am not teaching this year, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to introduce Alex to the beach.  We had a great time relaxing, walking the beach, eating Duck Donuts and checking out a few sights.

Gotta Start Somewhere!
